This information is for NGE Group members who were formerly members of the National Grid UK Pension Scheme (NGUKPS) only
Specifically, this is for people who joined the NGE Group during 2022 from the NGUKPS (also known as the Gas Scheme). It is not intended for other Group members or relevant to their benefits in the Group.
As a former Gas Scheme member, you are part of a special category of members who joined the NGE Group during 2022. This means you pay different contributions and receive certain different benefits from the rest of the NGE Group. Some of the general information in this website will apply to you, while other information will not.

ABOUT THE GROUP
You can find out more about the NGE Group here.
GO ONLINE
If you transact online, you can login to PenNet where you can view and update aspects of your Group pension. If you are a contributing or deferred member, you can view estimates of your retirement calculations based on your Normal Retirement Age and update your contact details and Expression of Wish form.
If you are a pensioner member, you can view your monthly payslips and annual P60s and update your contact details including bank details. You can also update your Expression of Wish form if you are within five years of retiring.
Your past service with NGUKPS
During 2022, you were given the option to transfer your past service benefits with the Gas Scheme into the Group. Alternatively, you could choose to keep that part of your pension with the Gas Scheme as a separate, ‘deferred’ or ‘preserved’ pension.
